Donald Trump said it is “highly unlikely” he will have Ron DeSantis in his administration and that he sees “no path” for Nikki Haley to the nomination as New Hampshire voters prepare for Tuesday's election.
The former president sat down with Fox News' Lawrence Jones to discuss the state of the Republican presidential election. The interview aired Monday, the day Trump is back in New York court over E. Jean Carroll's defamation lawsuit against him. The former president will return to New Hampshire for a rally on Monday evening.
He said he appreciated Ron DeSantis' support after the former governor dropped out of the contest on Sunday, but said he doesn't see him as his running mate or in his administration.
“Well, it's probably unlikely, but I have to be honest, anything is a possibility, but I think it's highly unlikely.” I have a lot of great people. And I have great people who have been with me from the beginning,” he said.

He also beat up Haley, who remains in the running against him.
“I don’t see a path for her at all,” he said of her presidential campaign.
And he said he was “very upset” with her for running against him after he appointed her as his UN ambassador
“I would say I haven't done anything with Nikki.” “I'm very upset with her,” he said. “She worked for me for about two and a half years.” She was fine. Not good. She was fine. As she left, she told everyone, “I would never run against the president.”
The former president is ahead by double digits in the polls for the nation's first presidential election campaign.
A Washington Post/Monmouth University poll found that 52 percent of primary voters support Trump, while 34 percent support Haley.
DeSantis dropped out of the race Sunday night, endorsing Trump and blasting Haley.
In his video announcement, DeSantis noted, “It is clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance.” They saw his presidency foundered by relentless resistance and they see how Democrats continue to use the justice system to this day to attack him.”
“Trump is superior to the current incumbent Joe Biden.” That is clear. “I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee and I will keep that pledge.”

“He has my support because we cannot go back to the old Republican guard of yesterday — a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism — that Nikki Haley represents,” DeSantis said.
DeSantis' support for Trump came after he repeatedly criticized the former president, questioned his age and argued he would inspire Democrats to turn out in droves for Biden.
Trump, for his part, said Sunday he would retire the nickname “Ron DeSanctimonious” once Florida's governor endorses it.
Haley simply said of the race, “I want to say to Ron, he ran a great race, he was a good governor and we wish him well. “However, there's only one guy and one lady left now.”
