The Colorado court's decision to bar Donald Trump's candidacy during that state's primary would only be beneficial for the former president, according to political analyst Luc Lavoie.

“Every time they try to stop Trump from advancing, he goes up in the polls,” he says.
The columnist adds that Trump supporters increasingly mobilize when politicians and authorities criticize his decisions.
“What it really does is it boosts his popularity because everything he says is based on the idea that he's a martyr because he doesn't work within the system and the people who are behind Trump, people are those who are against the government,” he said.
Is Trump protected by presidential immunity?
Donald Trump's lawyers are gradually running out of arguments in several of his trials.
The Trump clan's only defense is presidential immunity.
