Trump will address his supporters after being sentenced to pay $354.9 million in fraud charges

Former US President Donald Trump will address his supporters at a campaign rally this Saturday for the first time since a New York judge ruled that he must pay $354.9 million in damages for fraudulently inflating his assets to deceive creditors.

Trump is expected to appear at a campaign rally in Michigan. His speech is scheduled for the same time as that of Nikki Haley, the Republican Party's latest opponent for the presidential nomination, who will attend an event in South Carolina.

On Saturday morning, Haley wasted no time attacking Trump after Friday's ruling, which represents another legal setback for him in a civil case that threatens his real estate empire.

Trump also faces four federal and state criminal cases, including one scheduled to begin March 25 in New York over alleged payments to silence a porn star. This means Trump will be the first former US president to be charged with a crime.

The former president reacted angrily to Friday's decision in posts on his social media platform. Judge Arthur Engoron also banned Trump from serving as an officer or director of a New York company for three years.

New York Attorney General Letitia James accused Trump and his family business of inflating their assets by as much as $3.6 billion a year for a decade to deceive bankers seeking better loan terms.
