A current survey New York Times/Sienna College shows that the chances of Donald Trump returning to the White House are now higher than ever I mentioned it back in August. Americans won’t vote until November 2024, but if the election were that month, Trump would win.
Judicial debacle, but political capital
Regardless of the trends, the outcome of the 2024 election will once again be decided on an emergency basis due to extreme polarization. Participation rates and troop mobilization will be crucial factors.
Once again it is a handful of states that decide the fate of the candidates. In five of the six swing states we now prefer Donald Trump, sometimes by a significant margin, as in the case of Nevada.
If the 45th president gets stuck in court and I expect him to lose multiple cases, voters don’t seem to blame him.

Joe Biden has been undermined by his own
Have I already written that Joe Biden should immediately announce his withdrawal from the race despite results he has nothing to be ashamed of? Yes, many times. The situation has further deteriorated since last week.
You already know that Biden will face Rep. Dean Phillips in the primary. The latter reiterates that there are many behind the scenes who want the president to go.
In addition to this relatively muted criticism, there are frontal attacks from several more progressive Democrats condemning the administration’s strategy in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The president has been accused of not doing enough to protect Palestinians and even threatened to withdraw support in certain states with large Muslim communities, such as Michigan.
It was Rashida Tlaïb who was the harshest towards the Democratic leader, linking him to genocide committed by Israel in Palestine in a video posted on her X account.
If Democrats had remained united since winning in 2020, that solidarity would be staggering and is a real divide that we must close before we can confront Trump.

The shadow of Hunter Biden still looms
As if Joe Biden’s plate wasn’t already overflowing, the site POLITICO reported on Sunday more disturbing information about the president’s son.
Hunter has long been a political liability for his father, but this time we seem to be able to link the father to the son’s more than questionable maneuvers. A manager from the Ukrainian company Burisma actually dined with the Bidens at Cafe Milano in Washington in 2015.
What would Joe Biden have done or promised? We suspect, but one thing is certain: he had previously strictly denied this meeting. Once again there is a lack of transparency and leaves room for doubt. Did I say that Biden needs to announce his withdrawal from the race?
