Not wanting to cramp Mike Tyson’s style, conservative political pundit and Fox host Tucker Carlson offered the boxing legend his home to smoke weed before appearing on his show on Wednesday.
Though Carlson clarified that it wasn’t “his thing,” a source told Page Six he had no problem with Tyson getting high before appearing on his Fox Nation streaming show Tucker Carlson Today.
Carlson extended the generous offer, especially as Tyson admitted he wouldn’t get through his show without his daily dose of marijuana.
Tyson happily accepted and, according to some sources, smoked a “truckload” of weed.
Conservative political pundit and Fox host Tucker Carlson was very hospitable when he offered cannabis to boxing legend Mike Tyson at his home before appearing on his show on Wednesday
Tyson was the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990 and ended his career with 50 wins and six losses
The undisputed world heavyweight boxer owns a cannabis farm in California and said on his podcast that he and co-host Eben Britton smoke about $40,000 a month weed, the New York Post reported.
“Tucker told him it wasn’t his thing personally, but he was fine with Mike smoking while he was there,” a source said.
Tyson, whose full name is Michael Gerard Tyson and is known as “Iron Mike” and “Kid Dynamite”, is considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time.
He was the world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990 – with an impressive career of 50 wins and six losses.
One of Tyson’s claims to fame was the iconic moment he bit off opponent Evander Holyfield’s ear during a 1997 fight in the boxing ring. An ear-shaped edible jelly that captures this iconic moment is part of Tyson’s edible line, Page Six reported.
During Wednesday’s interview, Tyson Carlson opened up about how he became “Iron Mike” and “The Baddest Man on the Planet.”
He shared with Carlson how proud he was of his childhood, his inspiration from Muhammed Ali and his dream of becoming a professional fighter since he was thirteen.
“My adversity inspired me to be more than I really was,” Tyson said while speaking about his coach and mentor, Bobby Stewart.
“My mentality was, the more you hurt him, the more people are going to love you,” Tyson said.
