Tunisia, tanker sinks with 750 tons of fuel. Fears of environmental risks

The ship flying the flag of Equatorial Guinea, coming from Egypt and en route to Malta, had asked to enter Tunisian territorial waters. The crew first approached the Tunisian authorities for permission to disembark. However, seawater flooded the ship’s engine room to a height of two meters and the entire crew was evacuated.
