A retired detective who investigated Tupac’s murder believes police intentionally waited several years before arresting the suspect New York Post.

Retired Detective Greg Kading, who worked in the Los Angeles Police Department’s homicide unit, said the fact that the suspect disclosed his ties to the crime in multiple interviews likely delayed his arrest.
“They might have thought, ‘He’s tied his rope, let’s let him hang himself,'” Greg Kading said.
