A 5.5 magnitude earthquake shook the southern Turkish province of Adanaanother tremor, nearly six months after the devastating aftershocks that killed more than 50,000 people in Turkey and Syria.
Istanbul-based Kandilli Earthquake Monitoring Center said the earthquake struck at 8:05:44 GMT on Tuesday. Its epicenter was in the Kozan districtlocated approximately 64 km (40 miles) from the city of Adana and close to the Syrian border.
The European Seismological Center for the Mediterranean (EMSC) said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 12 km (7.46 miles). No injuries or damage have been reported so far.

The quake came months after the devastating earthquakes in February The storm reached a magnitude of 7.8 and wreaked havoc in the region and parts of northern Syria.
