Turkish Foreign Minister calls Israeli attack on Palestine unacceptable

Beirut, October 17 (Prensa Latina) Speaking in Lebanon today, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan described Israeli bombings of the Palestinian people in Gaza as unacceptable and unprecedented.

During a press conference at the Lebanese Foreign Ministry headquarters, the Turkish minister regretted the deaths of a large number of Palestinian civilians and the disruption of electricity, water and fuel supplies in the Gaza Strip.

The head of Ankara diplomacy stressed that his country continues its efforts in two directions: preventing the expansion of clashes and the need to quickly deliver aid to Gaza.

At the same time, Fidan proposed establishing a mediation mechanism between Israel and Palestine with the guarantor countries, including Turkey, to find a way out of the crisis.

In his opinion, it is time for the international community to take a step towards the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders.
