La7’s schedule has been overturned: the extensive live broadcasts have been cancelled
The La7 schedule was turned on its head today, Tuesday 17 January 2023, with the non-airing of Omnibus, L’aria che tira and Tagadà. Also, DiTuesday has been canceled for tonight’s broadcast. This has caused confusion among viewers as a strike by non-journalists at broadcaster Urbano Cairo is underway and is expected to last until the end of the day. The strike originally planned for January 13, which led to the cancellation of Propaganda Live, has been postponed to today.
A7 deletes all programs
The workers’ representatives noted that, despite the difficulties of recent years, La7 employees have always demonstrated their professional ability to adapt to different market conditions. The company is therefore challenged to implement trend-led ways of working that respect work-life balance, provide appropriate professional recognition and encourage a positive work environment, all fundamental elements for company growth.
the statement
It was found that recent meetings with the company, which focused on job levels, performance bonuses, flexible working hours and smart working, did not yield positive results.
The editors ask for professional recognition, an improvement in the quality of the work and a one-time financial contribution for the efforts made in the last year. In addition, we stand in solidarity with non-journalistic colleagues in giving due recognition for their hard work, stabilizing precarious workers, an agreement on smart working and flexible working hours, and projects and investments to further develop the channel. The success of the editorial and the work of journalists and non-journalists have been an integral part of the group’s achievements.
Due to the workers’ strike of La7, Omnibus, L’aria che tira hosted by Myrta Merlino, Agadà hosted by Tiziana Panella and DiMartedì hosted by Giovanni Floris will not be broadcast.
The eventual regular airing of Caterina Balivo’s eve, Lingo – Parole in gioco, has not yet been announced.
