Almost 14 years after its launch, specialist youth broadcaster Yoopa will be switched off on January 11 and replaced by a television version of QUB Radio, which will allow cameras into its studio where important social issues will be discussed.
The announcement was made on Monday morning by Groupe TVA, which operates several specialty channels, and QUB Radio, Quebecor’s web radio launched five years ago.
If you tune in to the TV version of QUB Radio – the official title has not yet been announced – you can see QUB Radio’s star presenters at work, namely Benoit Dutrizac, Richard Martineau, Mario Dumont, Yasmine Abdelfadel and Sophie Of the Felsen. We present authentic television content in a relaxed manner, without pretension and with a focus on the impression of sitting at the same table [ces] Headliner,” we said in a press release.

Youth content on Club illico
The specialized youth channel Yoopa, launched in April 2010, will provide children with educational and entertaining content until January 10th. Since its inception, original productions such as BAM, The Secret Academy, The Stars of the Dodo and Miam! broadcast. and Theo.
Now we’re inviting kids on Club illico to tune in to discover Quebecor’s youth content offering. Their parents can also find productions tailored to their tastes.
“With increasing competition from foreign platforms in youth content, TVA Group has had to reposition its television offering and focus on information and public affairs, which are at the core of its mission,” it said.
In addition to the TV version of QUB Radio, TVA Group continues to focus on its specialty channels ADDIK, CASA, Évasion, LCN, MOI ET CIE, Prize 2, TVA Sports (1 and 2) and Zeste.
