An attack on a school in the northern Gaza Strip killed 20 people and injured dozens more, the Hamas health ministry in the Palestinian territory said early Saturday.

“Twenty martyrs and dozens of wounded arrived at al-Chifa hospital in Gaza City after a targeted attack on a school in the al-Saftaoui area of the northern Gaza Strip that was turned into a makeshift camp for displaced people,” the Health Ministry said statement. “Several tank mortar shells fell on the school that was directly attacked,” he added.
