David Lynch’s wife Emily Stofle has filed for divorce from the legendary filmmaker after 14 years of marriage.
The Twin Peaks director’s 77-year-old and estranged husband, 46, is seeking sole custody of their 11-year-old daughter Lula Boginia Lynch, according to TMZ.
The actress, who married the filmmaker in 2009, will grant David visitation rights. She is also seeking spousal support and attorney fees.
According to the publication, there is no evidence that the duo signed a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot.
Stofle appeared in Lynch’s 2006 film Inland Empire as well as the 2017 revival of Twin Peaks.

Lynch met Emily while she was performing in Inland Empire and they later married in February 2009.
She gave birth to the couple’s first and only child in 2012, when Lynch was 66.
During Emily’s pregnancy, the couple released a statement saying, “The couple is thrilled by the news and looks forward to meeting their first child together.”
This is the Mulholland Drive filmmaker’s fourth marriage. He was previously married to Mary Sweeney from 2006 to 2007, to Mary Fisk from 1977 to 1987 and to Peggy Lynch from 1967 to 1974.
Lula is the fourth child of the acclaimed director.
He shares daughter Jennifer, 55, who is also a director, with first wife Peggy, 76. He also shares son Austin, 41 – an actor – with second wife Mary and son Riley, 31 – a musician – with third wife Mary Sweeney, 70 .
Lynch previously revealed in an interview with The Guardian in 2018 that his tendency to prioritize his work meant he wasn’t always the best husband and father.

Lynch is best known as a filmmaker whose works have often become cult classics, including The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive and the television series Twin Peaks.
