Twitter brings back some employees after layoffs

Billionaire Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion a few days ago. One billion is 1,000 million. Musk was the first to lay off half the employees. Now Twitter wants some of the employees back. Apparently you were accidentally fired.

Musk wants to change some things on Twitter. For example, there are so-called “verified” accounts. This means that they belong to very well-known people. For example, politicians. They show with their account who they really are. That way, no one else can use their Twitter names to post messages. “Confirmed” accounts were previously free. But in the future they must cost money.
