A man turned himself in to police after stabbing a child, a teenager and a woman in critical condition during riots in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon.
Police say the unidentified victims, all Asians, were attacked in the 3200 block of Knorr Street in Mayfair around 2:08 pm.
The 37-year-old woman received “multiple stab wounds all over her body.” A 15-year-old boy was stabbed twice in the back of the head, and a 10-year-old boy was stabbed once in the back of the head and once in the left leg.
They were taken to Frankford Torresdale Hospital. The two children are said to be in stable condition, police said, while the woman’s condition remains critical.
Later that day, the man surrendered at the 15th district station. He was taken to the hospital for identification and is currently in police custody. No charges were immediately announced.

Police found rolls of plastic and bags in the house, which police believe were going to be used to hide his girlfriend’s body.
Police said Scarria killed his unidentified girlfriend “in response to what the defendant perceived as a threat to his masculinity.”
“His actions were cowardly and evil and he will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stolltimer said at the time.
“The horrific murder this morning is a sad reminder of the threat many women face every day.”
Police rushed to the scene after Scarria’s neighbor called her in the middle of the night at 4:40 a.m. after screaming and loud bangs coming from the walls.
The police report details how, after a huge noise between the couple, the place suddenly “became quiet” before “saw-like sounds” and “collection or moving of plastic material” could be heard.
