Both guards have played for the Panthers since 2021 and could become unrestricted free agents this season.

Montour, whose name is currently on the injured list, earns an annual salary of $3.5 million. He had a fantastic season last year, collecting 73 points (16 goals and 57 assists) in 80 games. The Florida club acquired his services as part of a deal with the Buffalo Sabers.

Forsling also had his best year of his career in 2022/23. He found the target 13 times and delivered 28 assists for 41 points in 82 games. The 27-year-old Swede is in the final season of a three-year contract that will allow him to earn an average of just over $2.6 million.

The Panthers acquired him via waivers in January 2021.
