Two CH veterans shine in Dallas

Two former Montreal Canadiens players have shone since the start of the playoffs in Dallas.

Stars forwards Evgenii Dadonov and Max Domi have been great so far.

In Game 2 of the series against the Seattle Kraken on Thursday, Dadonov scored from six shots in his team’s 4-2 win.

The Russian has already scored four goals and one assist in the first eight games of the spring tournament. He had three goals in six games in the prelims against the Minnesota Wild.

Since taking over from the Stars for compatriot Denis Gurianov on February 26, Dadonov has blossomed into a transformed player, scoring 15 points in 23 games. That’s just three points fewer than when he played 50 games at CH.

Domi has also impressed with seven points in eight games since the start of the playoffs. He had produced so much during the season but in 20 games.

Like Dadonov, Domi has upped his game by a few notches now that the stakes are higher.

Following the Stars’ tie, they will look to take a 2-1 lead against the Kraken on Sunday night in Seattle. This confrontation will be presented on TVA Sports and on TVA Sports Direct from 9:30 p.m.
