Two important fairs begin today

After a three-year absence, the outdoor, hunting, fishing, camping shows and the Quebec Boat Show are back. From noon today, you can discover them at the Center de Foires d’ExpoCité.

“With more than 200 exhibitors, the fair presents all aspects of the outdoor lifestyle,” explained Catherine Lapointe, spokeswoman for the event. This is the first year that our organization Master Promotions LTD organizes this fair. This 2023 edition is a special edition at the national level as it is the only show to be held in Canada on this scale. »

At the Boat Show, the offerings are pretty impressive.  This is an opportunity for enthusiasts to purchase the boat of their choice.

“I believe that we have brought together community actors of all categories under one roof who will be able to keep visitors happy. We even have important additions that will surprise people. »

You will indeed discover many new exhibitors.

“Personally, I consider the novelty to be a plus,” explains the expert. In over 50% of cases, we introduce visitors to new exhibitors. For example, Lëxi Modular Chalet with an on-site unit for people to visit. These specialists have created a special environment to showcase their creation. Still in the field of modularity and to follow the glamping trend, we built HabitatPod, a Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean company, with its 36ft pod built on site. Visitors are welcome to visit it. We also have large tents with the 40 Celsius company, which also offers other camping products. »

Camping enthusiasts can also find an impressive range of camping enthusiasts with E.Boudreault VR and its truck trailers, VR Evolution with two units making their Canada debut and VR Soulière showcasing their new Quebec-made units Discover mobile homes. You will also find campsites and a variety of accessories on site.

For all tastes

Hunting and fishing enthusiasts are catered for with a range of exhibitors offering excursions, equipment and more.

Upon entering, you will discover the huge kiosk Ecotone Beaupré with its specialties for hunters and anglers. There you can try Excalibur crossbows. Decathlon, a French store based in Sainte-Foy, is also on site for the first time.

There is also Bruno Morency with a huge kiosk where you will discover his latest finds, the Sportchief company, Roadfish, the Boréal rods, Target Baites, so many opportunities to discover the latest novelties to take with you on your next outings .

A dedicated equipment area has been set up which is clearly marked. There are outfitters from all over Quebec with Aventure Nature Okane, Pourvoirie du Lac Oscar, Lac Dumoulin and Némiskau for Mauricie. Several exist for the Monts-Valin, including Poulin de Courval, Lac Laflamme, Mont-Valin du Archer, Clauparo and Québec Nature. Bataram, Club Trois Castors, Roger and Faucille come from Charlevoix, among others.

The Côte-Nord is also on site with outfitter Chez Pelchat and for those looking for big adventures there is Ouje Bougoumou Cree Nation Broadback’s Fishing Camp Kiosk. You really have a wide range of destinations. Sépaq is also on site with representatives from its branches. Several “Zecs” are also on site.

For animation during the show there are conferences of experts and in addition a fly fishing section with continuous animation. On the occasion of the family day on Sunday, a course is offered for the youngest. You can also enjoy a good meal of trout from the Casting Club’s pond.

An important novelty is the motorized sector, which focuses on electric vehicles that allow people to move around while respecting the environment.

Motocross champion Ben Milot will be there with his academy to bring the youngest ones closer to the joy of motorcycling on almost 5,000 square meters. Young people will discover Huqsvarna’s electric motorcycles.

The boats

In the Boat Show area, visitors can discover more than a hundred boats.

“We are here to introduce visitors to everything new in the boating industry from pontoons, fishing boats, pleasure boats, wakeboard boats, personal watercraft and much more,” explains promoter Pierre Harvey. It’s a great opportunity to meet industry experts who know how to buy the boat you’ve been wanting. » You can enter to win a Princecraft boat.
