Two more arson attacks: Attacks on the Accurso family continue

Two shops in Laval and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, owned by Tony Accurso’s daughter and her spouse, were the target of almost simultaneous arson attacks last night.

Apparently, Lisa Accurso’s public appearance on the show Tout le monde en parle in an attempt to distance herself from her father didn’t stop those who might be angry at her from stopping the bullying. On Wednesday evening, two arson attacks took place almost simultaneously on two buildings owned by Lisa Accurso and her husband Karol Fortin.

The first event took place at around 11:35 p.m. on rue Gaudette in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Firefighters had to respond to a fire that reportedly broke out in the building after an incendiary object likely shattered the windshield.

Without confirming that it was a Molotov cocktail, the spokesman for the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu police said that “objects found at the scene indicate criminal intent”. Jérémy Lévesque also specifies that no arrests have been made.

A second fire, this time in Laval, then broke out in Jaffa Strait around midnight under the same circumstances. Another shop window was smashed by an incendiary object. Laval Police are also investigating this incident but have not made any arrests.

If the two fires caused only limited damage to the buildings, the symbolism behind these two attacks, which took place about sixty kilometers apart, leaves no one indifferent.

1410, rue Jaffa in Laval is the place of business of Tony Accurso’s son-in-law, Karol Fortin. His company KF Construction has an office there.

The company Alimentation MS3 at 700, rue Gaudette in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu also bears the name of Karol Fortin and his wife Lisa Ray, who changed her surname to distance herself from her father Tony.

Long list of criminal events

It’s not the first time the couple have been victims of arson. Last October, suspects targeted her apartment on 15th Avenue in Deux-Montages, which had been completely destroyed by flames.

A month later, Deux-Montagnes police officers arrested four suspects with gas cans near 15th Avenue, where Tony Accurso lives. Finally, at the end of August, the home of the ex-builder’s son, located in the same cul-de-sac, was riddled with bullets.
