The Israeli army announced on Sunday morning the deaths of two more soldiers in fighting in the northern Gaza Strip: Captain Roy Biber and Sergeant Binyamin Meir Erli. Captain (Reservist) Roy Biber, 28, of Tzur Moshe, was a team commander in the Yehalom unit of the Combat Engineer Corps. Sergeant Binyamin Meir Erli, 21, from Beit Shemesh, was a fighter in the 101st Battalion of the Parachute Brigade.
The soldiers were killed in fierce fighting in the northern Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of Israeli casualties since the ground operation began to 65, including 58 in the Gaza Strip.
On Saturday evening, the IDF had already announced the deaths of six fallen soldiers:
– Sergeant Shlomo Gortovnik, 21, from Modi’in
– Lieutenant Eden Provisor, 21, from Alfei Menashe
– Sergeant Adi Malkh Harav, 19 years old, from Beit Jan
– Sergeant Shachar Friedman, 21, of Jerusalem
– Corporal Jamal Abbas, 23 years old
– Master Sergeant (res.) David (Dudi) Digmi, 43 years old, from Rishon Lezion
