Two people were stabbed within minutes of each other in Montreal on Tuesday night.
The first attack occurred on rue Hochelaga near rue Liébert in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood when a man in his 60s was stabbed in the upper body, said Jeanne Drouin, spokeswoman for the Montreal Police Service (SPVM).
The life of the victim is not threatened, said the SPVM.
The first attack happened moments later on Boulevard Gouin in the Pierrefonds sector, when a man in his 20s was attacked with a knife.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition.
Investigations have been launched to try to elucidate both of these events. In both cases, no suspects were arrested.
