“Vulnerable British citizens will be given priority on these flights. At this time, we will contact those eligible for flights directly and British citizens should not go to the airport without calling first,” the European country’s government said in a statement released on Thursday (10/12/2023). .

According to the text, the amount charged for the trip “reflects only the cost of operating the flight.” Unlike Brazil, the UK typically uses commercial flights to repatriate citizens and demands a ransom.

Brazilian repatriation

The 3rd FAB (Brazilian Air Force) aircraft sent to Israel to rescue Brazilians landed at Recife Air Base at 6:07 a.m. this Friday (October 13). Of the 69 repatriates on board, 5 left there.

According to the FAB, the 4th aircraft of the Federal Government’s Operation Voltando em Paz took off from Rome, Italy, this Friday (October 13) at 10:18 a.m. local time (5:18 a.m. in Brasília). The flight goes to Tel Aviv to save more people.

The government wants to repatriate 900 Brazilians by Saturday (October 14). According to Defense Minister José Múcio Monteiro, Brazil was the first country to carry out repatriation operations. He explained on Wednesday (October 11) that as many trips as necessary will be made to bring to Brazil all citizens who are at war in the region and want to return.
