Two helpers of “Caritas International” lost their lives in Mariupol, in southern Ukraine.

Two aid workers from Caritas International were killed in Mariupol, Ukraine. The two Ukrainian officials and a person seeking help were killed in a rocket attack on a Caritas building, the German foreign aid organization Caritas said on Monday. “The deaths of civilians and aid workers who worked without reservation for others leave us speechless,” said Oliver Müller, head of Caritas International.

Hundreds of Caritas employees in Ukraine on duty

According to the information, aid continues despite the dangers, including in troubled cities like Kramatorsk, Zaporizhia and Kiev. The focus of aid is on caring for the elderly, sick and children, who are particularly affected by the effects of war. In Ukraine, around 1,000 Caritas employees and many volunteers are currently working across the country.
