According to Portal, the Ukrainian government made the decision to dismiss six deputy defense secretaries, this Monday (18), due to the appointment of a new defense minister Beginning of September.
The government did not disclose the reasons for the layoffs. The dismissed deputy ministers include Hanna Maliarknown for providing public updates on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Rustem Umerov was appointed defense minister less than two weeks ago, replacing Oleksii Reznikov. During Reznikov’s tenure, the ministry was the target of corruption allegations in the media, although no corruption allegations were made against the former minister himself.
