Moscow (EFE). – The Ukrainian army launched a massive drone attack this Sunday against the outskirts of the Russian capital and the Moscow, Tula, Kaluga, Bryansk and Smolensk regions.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the twenty enemy unmanned aircraft were shot down by anti-aircraft missiles in the early hours of the morning and throughout the morning.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said several drones were shot down on the outskirts of the city during the “massive attack.”

The drones did not reach the area of the city of 13 million inhabitants.

Subsequently, the governor of the Moscow region, Sergei Vorobyov, reported that three “structures” had suffered damage of varying degrees.
For this reason, the Domodedovo and Vnukovo international airports, which are located on the outskirts of the Russian capital, had to temporarily suspend their operations.
Canceled flights
In total, according to local press, 13 flights were postponed and three were canceled, although operations have since resumed.
In Tula, a region known for its military industry, two drones were intercepted by the Russian army, which failed to prevent one of them from crashing into a residential building, slightly injuring one of its residents.
Kaluga authorities did not provide information on how many drones reached the region, but confirmed that civilian infrastructure was not damaged by the attack.
Bryansk Region Governor Alexandr Bogomaz increased to five the number of enemy drones attacking his territory bordering Ukraine.
During the morning they also reported a drone attack in the Smolensk region, which borders Belarus.
The Ukrainian attack is in retaliation for the attack launched by Russia on Saturday, which involved a total of 75 drones, most of which targeted Kiev, where five people were injured.
