Ukraine Medvedev: Weapons delivery risks nuclear catastrophe

According to Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev, the continued supply of weapons to Ukraine carries the risk of a global nuclear catastrophe.

“It is clear that the shipment of weapons … could continue and prevent any possibility of a resumption of talks,” the deputy chairman of the National Security Council told the pro-government Izvestia newspaper.

“Our enemies are doing just that, ignoring the fact that their objectives will surely result in a total fiasco. A loss for everyone. A meltdown. Apocalypse. Medvedev.

The former Russian president has repeatedly warned of a nuclear confrontation with the West, most recently after Russia announced the suspension of the last nuclear disarmament treaty with the United States.
