The Pope prays for war refugees in Ukrainian and Russian

Ukraine: Mickey Rourke, war is a nightmare, but Putin was sensitive – Europe

(ANSA) — WASHINGTON, MARCH 19 — Russia’s war in Ukraine is “a nightmare and I pray to God every day that Putin puts an end to it.” American actor and former boxer Mickey Rourke said so in an interview with Fox News. The ‘9 ½ Weeks’ star is the latest in a string of celebrities to speak out on the invasion of Moscow, but unlike fellow celebrity Sean Penn, who has sided with Kiev and often banged a Ukrainian government megaphone United States has admitted to having admired the Kremlin chief in the past. “When I was in Russia, he took me to visit a children’s hospital with him and I saw how he was really moved by all these kids with cancer,” Rourke said, calling Putin an “empathetic” person.

The actor also praised the Klitschko brothers, Kyiv mayor Vitali and brother Volodymyr, former professional boxers fighting to defend their country.

“They have enough money to get on a private plane and get out of there,” Rourke said. “But instead they stay, they are angry, they are not afraid of death”. (HAND).
