Ukraine No responsibility for the Crimea

Ukraine: No responsibility for the Crimea explosion

Ukraine does not accept responsibility for yesterday’s explosions at a Russian air base in Crimea, according to Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podoliak.

When asked by Russian independent TV channel Dozhd if Kyiv was responsible, he replied: “Of course not. What do we have to do with it?” He hinted that supporters might be involved.

The cause of the explosions on the Russian-annexed peninsula is still unclear. According to a report in the New York Times, the Ukrainian army attacked the main Russian air base with an undisclosed weapon it had developed.

Zelenskyy: War begins and ends with Crimea

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has again promised his countrymen that Crimea will be liberated. “Crimea is Ukrainian and we will never give it up,” he said yesterday. With annexation in 2014, Russia turned Crimea into one of the most dangerous places.

“The Black Sea region cannot be safe while Crimea is occupied,” Zelenskyy said. “This Russian war against Ukraine, against all free Europe, began with Crimea and must end with Crimea, with its liberation.”
