According to Russian information, Ukrainian forces launched an airstrike on an oil storage facility in Russia from two helicopters on Friday.

After the attack, a fire broke out in the warehouse in the city of Belgorod, the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, told the Telegram news channel. A large fire was also seen on video. Belgorod is not far from the Ukrainian border. There were no casualties, Gladkow said.

Airstrike on Russian Oil Storage Facility by Ukraine?

The governor also assured that there will be no fuel supply problems in the region. According to him, the helicopters entered Russian territory and then fired. According to the Interfax agency, the oil company Rosneft announced that the site would be evacuated, information that could not be verified by an independent party.

Russia attacked Ukraine in February

Russia attacked the neighboring country on February 24. Since then, the Russian military has repeatedly bombed fuel depots to stop the Ukrainian military from supplying it. According to information from Moscow, however, there have already been several attacks by the Ukrainian side on Russian territory.
