The two chambers of the Russian parliament will hold an extraordinary session separately on February 22. This was announced by RIA Novosti, citing the Deputy and Chairman of the Federation Council Commission Vyacheslav Timchenko, according to whom the meetings will focus on passing the integration laws of four regions within the Russian Federation, a clear reference to Donetsk’s Ukrainian regions , Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson. According to a source quoted by RIA, the Duma or lower house will meet on the morning of the 22nd, the Federation Council will start its work at 12 noon. Russian President Vladimir Putin will deliver his annual address to the Federal Assembly – the two chambers met for a joint session – on February 21.
