(ANSA) — WASHINGTON, MARCH 18 — The intense nine-minute video Arnold Schwarzenegger posted to Twitter, in which he addressed Russian soldiers with Cyrillic subtitles to “tell them what they don’t know,” was released by over 700,000 people viewed Russia. CNN reports about it. Overall, the post had over 30 million views.
The acclaimed actor and former California governor also addressed Vladimir Putin directly, telling him, “You started this war, you are fighting this war, you can stop this war.” In the video, Schwarzenegger shared his personal experiences and expressed his admiration for those who are his “new heroes” protesting the war in Russia. And he explained what is not disclosed by the Moscow government. “The government told you it was a war to denazify Ukraine, that’s not true. Ukraine is a country with a Jewish president,” he said, stressing that the images of that conflict reminded him of the atrocities of the second.
