The Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation has launched an NFT collection to help fund the military. The project was first announced in early March, but the NFT collection called the “Museum of Meta-Historical Wars” is now open to the public. This collection aims to be the “NFT Museum”, which records the history of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The collection currently consists of 54 NFTs recording the events of the first three days of the war. The illustrations are created by Ukrainian and international artists, each referring to a tweet documenting some aspects of the aggression and the world’s reaction to it.
“The formula for each NFT is clear and simple. Each token is the actual news from official sources and illustrations from both Ukrainian and international artists,” said the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Meta History. I am writing on the museum website. “NFTs are created in chronological order according to the event, so true history is preserved and cherished.”
The NFT project is the latest way Ukraine has turned to digital assets for defense. Since the beginning of the war, the country has raised more than $ 100 million in cryptocurrency donations, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently signed a bill to officially legalize the crypto industry.
