At least 23 people, including several children, were killed in an attack by the Russian army on Thursday on Vinnytsia, a city in central Ukraine far from the front lines. Among them Lisa, a 4-year-old girl with Down syndrome, who met Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska before the Christmas holidays.
A few hours before the tragedy, she was filmed by her mother in a video posted on Instagram. Lisa, a 4-year-old girl with Down syndrome, died during the Russian army strike that killed at least 23 people in the city of Vinnytsia on Thursday, July 14.
During the Russian terrorist attack on Vinnytsia on July 14, a little girl named Lisa died as a result of the explosion. Her mother, Iryna, was taken to the hospital with a severed leg. Iryna’s social media page captures the final minutes of her daughter’s life. pic.twitter.com/bJWz2h8eIJ

As TF1 states, she was found dead minutes later. “Her overturned pink pram was found in the street, stained with the girl’s blood. Her mother lost a leg in the attack. She was initially pronounced dead before the head of the Ukrainian police did not confirm this Friday that they were still fighting for their lives,” specify our colleagues.
Olena Zelenska reacts
If we talk a lot about Lisa’s death after this massacre, it’s because she was talked about a few months earlier when she met Olena Zelenska before the Christmas holidays. The latter also responded on Twitter by recounting this moment of sharing.
“As I read the news, I realized that I knew this girl,” she explained, not hiding her sadness. We met this beautiful girl while we were filming a video for the Christmas break.” The first lady also describes Lisa as “a brilliant, genuine, cheerful girl who was raised in love.”
Today we were all horrified by a photo of an overturned stroller from Vinnytsia. And then, as I read the news, I realized that I know this girl. Knew… I won’t write all the words I want to write to those who killed them. I will write to you about Lisa. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/hJsnl6hUyk

She is one of the three children who lost their lives during this Russian strike, according to the Ukrainian authorities, quoted by our colleagues at BFM. TF1 points out that her death “shattered social media” and that the Instagram account created by the mother and largely dedicated to her went from 20,000 to 80,000 subscribers in a matter of hours.
