Ukraine’s Deputy Intelligence Chief Says ‘First Priority Is To Kill Putin’

The death of President Vladimir Putin is a top priority for the Ukrainian government. The statement was made by General Vadim Skibitski, the number two in Ukrainian intelligence.

Vadim Skibitski claimed that agents in Kiev were actively trying to kill Putin. He gave an interview to the German newspaper Welt.

Skibitski added that it is Putin who coordinates and decides what happens. According to him, the Russian President is informed about the Ukrainian plans. “Putin recognizes that we are getting closer to him, but he is also afraid of being killed by his own people.”

In response, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Ukrainian general’s comments showed the invasion was “more than justified.” For President Putin’s safety, he says the Russian services “know what they’re doing.”

In early May, Russia accused Ukraine of carrying out a “planned terrorist attack” against Vladimir Putin’s official residence. This was allegedly a failed attempt to assassinate the Russian President, who was not in the Kremlin at the time of the attack.

“Without providing evidence, Russia claims that Ukraine acted on orders from the United States. American analysts say the attack was likely staged to mobilize the populace for war.”

Our priority is to destroy the unit commander who is ordering his men to attack. “Putin coordinates and decides what happens,” said Vadim Skibitski, deputy head of Ukraine’s intelligence service.

“The terror regime speaks of its terrorist ambitions. A special military operation is more than justified, more than necessary and must be completed with the achievement of the declared goals,” replied Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Kremlin.
