The long-awaited counterattack of the Ukrainian army against the Russians has begun. The counter-offensive began last night as attacks intensified in the south-east of the country. The departure of the Kiev reaction was said to have been confirmed by at least four military personnel, including officers, the Washington Post quoted as saying. As Ukraine’s counteroffensive advances, the crisis is deepening in the southern Kherson region, where last Tuesday’s blast at the Russian-controlled Kakhovka Dam flooded dozens of villages, including in Ukraine’s occupied territories.
