In recent months, Kiev has launched almost daily attacks on Russian cities, against the backdrop of a Ukrainian counteroffensive that began in early June against Russian forces.
Kursk is about 90 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
“In Kursk, a Ukrainian drone attacked an administrative building in the center,” Governor Roman Starovoyt said on Telegram.
“The roof was slightly damaged. “Emergency service personnel are on scene,” he said.
Last month, a Ukrainian drone caused significant damage to the Kursk train station, injuring five people.
