The brave 7-year-old Ukrainian girl who went viral by singing “Let It Go” in a Kiev bomb shelter was due to perform for real on Sunday – in front of a packed football stadium in the shelter of her temporary new home, Poland.
Little Amelia Anisovich was wearing a traditional Ukrainian embroidered dress as she sang her country’s national anthem live at the “Together for Ukraine” TV charity concert at the Atlas Arena in Lodz.
Instead of singing to cheer up her frightened classmates, she performed in front of thousands of people, most of them holding the lights on in the huge stadium, showing the footage.
Despite the huge audience, the young girl sang with the same clear voice that could be heard on mobile phone video as she sang Idina Menzel’s signature song from Frozen in a bomb shelter.

This speech captivated people around the world, among whom was Menzel herself, who wrote: “We see you. We really, really see you.”
Amelia fled to Poland and is now with her grandmother and brother, but it is believed that her parents are still in Kyiv. According to the UN, Poland has taken in more than 2 million of the nearly 3.5 million refugees who fled Ukraine after the Russian invasion.
The Sunday concert raised over $380,000 from the audience, with the organizer, TVN Media, donating another $800,000.
