News of the 44-year-old leader’s possible appearance comes a week after Oscars co-host Amy Schumer said she’s “not afraid to go there” when it comes to the tragic war at this year’s Academy Awards.
She told Drew Barrymore on her daytime talk show that she had actually “thrown” the idea for Zelensky to “record satellite or make a record” to the production team.
The 40-year-old comedy star will headline the 94th annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 27, along with Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes.
Earlier this week, Zelenskiy praised Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher for raising around $35 million to support refugees fleeing the Ukraine war.
