A Ukrainian woman who appeared bloodied but alive and was photographed in an already iconic image after a Russian missile strike showed her love of nature in a set of charming photos from before Putin’s invasion.
Teacher Olena Kurilo, 53, has seen her bloodied face become the archetypal image associated with the invasion of Ukraine.
