VIENNA: MURDER TRIAL ON FATAL ORGANIZATIONS AT THE PRATERSTERN © (c) APA/GEORG HOCHMUTH

More than a dozen people from six countries were involved in an altercation on Salzburg’s Rainerstrasse on Sunday night. A 22-year-old Syrian was knocked unconscious and several men were injured. A pistol would also have been fired. Authorities determined the motive and course of events on Sunday, Salzburg police said.

For now, 14 boys and men aged 13 to 22 from Syria, Serbia, Albania, Angola, Germany and Austria clashed near the train station at around 2:45 am. A shop window was also broken during the altercation, and the police were informed via an emergency call. Police found the recovering Syrian and five suspects at the scene, with two others stopped nearby. Your questioning did not yield any results. The search was still looking for the other people involved in the argument, and the alarm pistol still hadn’t turned up.
