Unfortunate moment Kamala Harris says “Joe Biden is very much alive and running for re-election” when asked if the 80-year-old will run for the White House in 2024

Vice President Kamala Harris created a chilling moment for the ages when she proudly declared that 80-year-old President Joe Biden is “very much alive” in an interview with 60 Minutes reporter Bill Whitaker.

Asked whether she would be happy to step into the breach if Biden decided not to run for re-election in 2024, Harris, 59, replied awkwardly: “Well, first of all, I’m not going to get into that hypothesis, because Joe Biden is.” very much alive and running for re-election. So here we are.’

When Whitaker pressed the former California senator for an answer, Harris said she didn’t have time for “board games.”

“I hear a lot of different things from a lot of different people.” But let me just tell you: I’m focused on the job. Thats really me. Our democracy is at stake, Bill. And honestly, I don’t have time for board games in my head when we have a president running for re-election. “That’s it,” Harris continued.

The exchange was followed by an awkward silence between the Veep and Whitaker.

The reporter tried to ask Harris why the current administration is neck and neck with former President Donald Trump in the 2024 polls, even though the former Apprentice host has 91 felony charges pending against him nationwide.

“I’m not a political expert, so I’m not going to talk to him.” But what I will say is this: If the American people are able to take a hard look at their options during the election campaign, the decision will be my opinion to be clear. … We will win. And I’m not saying it will be easy. But we will win. “I have no doubt,” Harris said.

Harris also blamed the lack of media coverage of the government’s performance as a reason for the low poll numbers.

The vice president expressed optimism about why Biden’s message didn’t resonate with voters, saying, “I look at it more like we’re going to keep going out there… And like every election, we have to make our concerns known to the American people.” That’s part our responsibility.”

Other topics Harris touched on included her plea for reinstating the assault weapons ban following the massacre in Lewiston, Maine, last week.

Speaking about the crisis at the southern border, Harris also called on Congress to “invest in the root causes of migration.”

Regarding the current conflict in Israel, Harris insisted that the US would not send combat troops to the region.

The vice president also compared their relationship to the highly successful relationship that former President Barack Obama and Biden had between 2008 and 2016.

Biden is known to have said that he was regularly the last person left in the room with Obama.

“Do you have that relationship with President Biden?,” Whitaker asked.

‘I’ll do it, I’ll do it. And I take this responsibility very seriously.”

A poll conducted in September by found that Harris was viewed as the worst vice president in decades.

Around 40 percent of those surveyed described her as the worst incumbent in recent times, ahead of Republicans Mike Pence and Dick Cheney.

When respondents were asked to choose a word to sum up the vice president, they chose “incompetent” well over complementary words like “smart” and “strong.”

And if that wasn’t clear enough, nearly half of the 1,000 respondents said Biden should swap his running mate for 2024 – including 27 percent of Democrats and a quarter of black respondents.

The poll of 1,000 likely voters was conducted by JL Partners and has a margin of error of 3.1 points.

The results reflect Harris’ torrid time as vice president and the reservations of some senior Democrats who worry that Biden’s advanced age will leave many voters wondering whether his 58-year-old vice president would need to take over the office during a second term.

“If there is anyone more incompetent than President Biden in the eyes of voters, it is his vice president,” said James Johnson, co-founder of Republican pollster JLP.

“Honestly, this is one of the most brutal word clouds we’ve ever created. From “incompetent” to “worthless,” the public has written off Kamala Harris, and there appears to be little opportunity for her to improve her standing with them.”

It’s not just Republicans who think that, he added.

“Among independents, views are the same, and one in four black voters want Biden to choose someone other than their running mate, as do the majority of 18- to 29-year-olds.”

“Joe Biden’s re-election program is already under severe strain due to concerns about his age. “Kamala Harris is pushing it to the breaking point.”

The results will be difficult to read for the Biden-Harris campaign.

When voters were asked for words to describe Harris, the most common likely voters were “incompetent” and “idiot.”

Although Republican hatred may have skewed the results, even people who called themselves “independents” offered little encouragement. Words like “stupid,” “joke,” “unqualified,” and even “robot” dominated over approving terms like “strong” and “cool.”
