In the United States, up to $600.00 in financial aid has been granted to help fund public services in that country. In addition, various stimulus checks were carried out at the state level to help with outstanding expenses.
One could say that inflation fell in the first half of 2023. However, it is still causing losses in the American economy to this day.
How much does the stimulus check cost?
With that in mind, economic relief of up to $600.00 is already a reality for certain California counties. Payments are made through the Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
In addition, it is open to residents of the states of Sacramento, Sutter, and Yuba.
However, there is something that sets it apart from other grants. In this case, the relief is only used to pay the energy bills.
PG&E customers, SMUD customers and anyone who heats their home with wood, propane or oil purchased from a supplier have the program. According to the Community Resource Project, payments are annual and range from $300.00 to $600.00.
Who gets the stimulus check?
First, applicants must reside in one of the following counties: Sacramento, Sutter and Yuba; all belong to California.
In addition, these individuals must have a valid social security card or current social security number.
In addition, they must have utility bills for the last six weeks prior to applying for the program. You must present a government issued ID that is valid in the United States, as well as copies from other government agencies.
It is also important that people have low incomes. The money is approved eight to twelve weeks after the application is submitted.
Priority will be given to those who have high energy bills and have a family member who belongs to a vulnerable demographic. Likewise, people over the age of 60, people under the age of five and even the disabled are prioritised.
