United we are stronger in the anti imperialist struggle

The international gathering, which for three days brought together 145 delegates from 78 communist and labor parties from 60 countries in Havana, took place at crucial moments for the world, when humanity is torn between the war promoted by the centers of the world becomes capitalism and the pursuit of peace and development to which our peoples are entitled.

The appointment created a space for reflection, exchange, unity and collaboration; agreement on common positions and actions; and international solidarity with the cause of the workers’ struggle, with the Cuban Revolution and with the peoples subjected to imperialist and fascist aggression.

ACTION PLAN OF THE XXII. INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF COMMUNIST AND WORKERS’ PARTIES

The XXII. International Meeting of Communist and Labor Parties, held October 27-29, 2022 in Havana, Cuba, defined the following as main axes and actions to be developed by the next event:

01. Conduct mobilizations in defense of peace and opposition to imperialist wars, military intervention, nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction and foreign military bases, and against NATO and other imperialist alliances such as Aukus.

  • Celebrate September 21st, the International Day of Peace, a major global mobilization denouncing war and supporting peace.
  • Ensuring the success of the World Peace Council Assembly.
  • Work for a serious, constructive and realistic solution to the conflict in Ukraine through peaceful means, through dialogue and negotiations.

02. Encouraging the political and protagonist participation of young people to ensure the continuity of the ideas and principles we represent. Preserving the historical memory of the international communist and labor movement and passing it on to new generations.

  • Celebrate International Youth Day on August 12th.
  • Celebrate International Student Day on November 17th.

03. Organize workshops and seminars in face-to-face and virtual format that contribute to the exchange, analysis and dissemination of the theoretical and practical concepts of Marxism and Leninism and the values ​​of socialism as the only system that corresponds to the legitimate demands and legitimate rights of peoples. Consider the following activities and commemorations:

  • Centenary of the founding of the USSR.
  • The 140th anniversary of the death of Karl Marx (March 14, 1883).
  • 175th anniversary of the publication of the Communist Manifesto (February 21, 1848).
  • The First International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left Parties and Movements, to be held in Cuba from February 10th to 12th, 2023.

04. Denouncing anti-communism and fascism and misrepresenting the historical contribution of the USSR and socialism in the context of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the USSR and the 50th anniversary of the fascist coup against the people’s unity government. by President Salvador Allende in Chile.

05. Express your solidarity with the just concerns of the peoples, with the communists who face persecution and bans on the free exercise of their political and social rights; against dictatorial regimes, oppression and discrimination in relation to democratic rights and freedoms.

06. Conduct international solidarity campaigns and support the struggle of the working and peasant classes, women and immigrants in their just claims for the right to unionise, better wages, working conditions and their democratic rights.

  • strengthening of the mobilizations of March 8, International Women’s Day; and May 1st, International Labor Day.

07. Carrying out activities to defend the culture and identity of peoples against the imperialist cultural neo-colonization project.

08. Take an active part in the popular mobilizations demanding the care and protection of the environment and reject the irrational and unsustainable model of capitalist production and consumption.

09. Show solidarity with all peoples fighting against foreign occupation, blockades, sanctions and imperialist aggression.

10. Participate in days of solidarity with the Cuban people for the immediate and unconditional end to the tightening economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States; against the inclusion of Cuba in the arbitrary and unilateral list of countries allegedly supporting terrorism, interference in its internal affairs and attempts to undermine its constitutional order.

  • Achieve greater and more active participation by the parties that are members of the meeting in the World Days of Solidarity with Cuba, held every last weekend of the month.

11. Stronger solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle and by all means demand the immediate end of the Israeli occupation and the right to self-determination and to an independent and sovereign state with East Jerusalem as its capital and the right of return for refugees according to the relevant resolutions of the United Nations. Condemn the so-called deal of the century and the criminal policies of the United States and Israel with their colonization and apartheid practices, including building and expanding settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.

  • Develop an international campaign for the Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on November 29th.

12. Call for a just and lasting solution to the Western Sahara issue and the search for peaceful and negotiated solutions to unresolved conflicts within the framework of the United Nations, in accordance with the norms of international law.

  • On May 10, conduct a general mobilization in solidarity with the struggle of the Saharawi people to exercise their legitimate rights, founding the Polisario Front

13. Promoting solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela against the aggression and illegal sanctions of US and European imperialism. Carry out actions calling for the immediate lifting of illegal coercive measures and the return of Venezuela’s assets usurped by imperialist power.

14. Support the inalienable right to self-determination and independence of the people of Puerto Rico.

  • Support the International Day of Solidarity with Puerto Rico, observed each October 30 to commemorate the first armed uprising against Yankee colonialism.

15. Support the actions and activities of the political parties that are members of the Latin American and Caribbean Meeting to commemorate the following historical events:

  • Bicentenary of the independence of the countries of Central America.
  • 170th anniversary of the birth of José Martí, national hero of Cuba.
  • 70th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada barracks and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes.

16. Condemn imperialist interference in Latin America and the Caribbean as part of the bicentenary of the proclamation of the Monroe Doctrine and the 40th anniversary of the US invasion of Grenada.

17. To achieve greater engagement of the communist and labor parties and their associated social organizations, with the aim of achieving better articulation and strengthening of the international anti-imperialist organizations, in particular the World Federation of Trade Unions, the World Peace Council, the World Federation of Democratic Youth and the Women’s International Democratic Federation.

18. Strengthening the unity, interaction and cooperation between the communist and workers’ parties from all regions of the world to bring about the XXIII. Meeting 2023 in Turkey to celebrate successfully.
