An Excelsior Springs, Missouri, man allegedly led police on an unusual chase last Thursday when he attempted to flee police by dragging his motor home with his lights on.
“He was driving at about that speed [50km] on time [en tirant] this big old house. It seems like he wants to live there. He was all over the street. We thought maybe he was drunk. We approached him. We chased him all over the street,” Excelsior Springs police Sergeant Craven said in a video recorded Wednesday by the Central Oregon Daily News.
Instead of celebrating Thanksgiving with family last Thursday, police officers in the state of Missouri had to intervene on the highway after noticing a suspicious pickup truck pulling a long motorhome behind it.
However, instead of stopping when he noticed the flashing police lights, the driver would have continued driving for quite a while before making a sharp turn and nearly flipping the RV, which can be seen scraping on the ground, according to footage from the dashboard camera of one of the police vehicles.
The agents apparently unsuccessfully tried to immobilize the vehicle using a studded mat before managing to immobilize it further, local media continued.
As seen in the video, the driver, whose age and identity were not disclosed, was arrested by police. It is unclear whether charges have been filed against him.
