Like every year in September, Apple organizes its annual event, mainly dedicated to its popular iPhone. This year, the tech giant is introducing its latest iPhone 15 series as well as new versions of the Apple Watch.
Apple has just announced the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus and the big news is a USB-C port, which is widely available on other “Apple” products. The iPhone 15 is now the first iPhone to switch to this USB-C standard, which is also required by the European Union.
Since prices are obviously in American currency, the iPhone 15 starts at $799 for a 128GB model and the iPhone 15 Plus starts at $899 for a 128GB version. Both models will be available on September 22nd and pre-orders begin this Friday. The phone is available in yellow, green, blue, black and pink.
Aesthetically, the design for the iPhone 15 is not entirely new, this year it is largely similar to the previous iPhone 14 model, although the iPhone 15 still uses a 6.1-inch screen.
All iPhone 15 models will also feature Dynamic Island. This is the pill-shaped cutout that debuted on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max and allows you to view certain notifications and interact with apps. The iPhone 15 also features a DELo Super Retina display that supports Dolby Vision content with 1600 nits of brightness. The maximum brightness of this screen is 2000 nits in direct sunlight, twice as much as the iPhone 14.

Better photography skills
The most notable improvement on the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, aside from the visible USB-C and dynamic island changes, is an improved camera system. The main camera sensor increases to 48 megapixels, up from 12 megapixels on the iPhone 14. There’s also a 12 megapixel telephoto lens, and improvements to portrait mode mean you no longer have to manually switch to portrait mode.
Apple is also improving Night Mode, Live Photos, and Action Mode in the iPhone 15’s camera. And if you’re a fan of selfies, the front camera has autofocus and portrait lighting.

A16 system chip
In the iPhone 15, Apple is also upgrading the A16 chip, the same one found in last year’s iPhone 14 Pro models. Apple also promises “all-day battery life” for the iPhone 15 thanks to a larger battery. The iPhone 15 also features a second-generation UltraWide Band chip, just like the new Apple Watch Series 9. This chip improves connectivity with other devices at greater distances and enables precise searches within the Locate app, making it easier to find your friends If you have them, you can find the latest iPhone 15 models.
iPhone 15 Pro in titanium
Apple today introduced the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, made from aerospace-grade titanium that is both strong and light, and are, according to Apple, the lightest Pro models ever.
Additionally, an all-new action button replaces the mute switch used to toggle between ringer and silent modes, and provides additional options that allow users to quickly access the camera or flashlight, activate voice memos, focus modes, translations, and accessibility features such as a magnifying glass. A press-and-hold gesture with sophisticated haptic feedback and visual cues in the dynamic island confirms the desired function.

iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available in four new finishes: Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium and Natural Titanium. Pre-orders begin Friday, September 15th and products will be available from Friday, September 22nd.
