Where do you really have to wear a mask now

No more masks for now

The procedure for such regulations had not been followed. The Tampa court overturned the decision and referred it back to the Board of Health. For now, passengers on planes, trains and other modes of transport will no longer need to wear masks.

Three days ago, the mask requirement was extended until early May. The Transport Security Authority (TSA) will no longer apply the regulation for the time being. However, the CDC still recommends wearing masks on public transportation. A government official said Monday night (local time): “Authorities are reviewing the decision and considering possible further measures.” For now, the mask requirement enacted by the CDC is no longer in effect.

Increasing mask resistance

President Joe Biden made masks mandatory on public transportation shortly after taking office in January 2021. A few days later, the CDC health official ordered mouth and nose protection to be worn on planes, ships, ferries, trains. , subways, buses, taxis and similar means of transport. The obligation also applies at airports, train stations and ports. The regulation has been extended several times, most recently to early May. In recent months there has been growing resistance, including from airlines.
