A 71-year-old man was arrested in Plainfield, Illinois, and charged with murder and a hate crime for stabbing a six-year-old boy and his 32-year-old mother, killing the former and seriously injuring the latter. for being Muslims, against the background of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
