US Open 2022 Rankings: Live Coverage, Golf Scores Today, Round 2 Updates at The Country Club

Canada’s Adam Hadwin commands the solo lead in the second round of the 2022 US Open. Hadwin is one of five players in the top 6 on the leaderboard who had to qualify through section qualification to be included in this week’s field. Hadwin’s 4-under-66 puts him a shot ahead of his closest pursuers, one of whom is 2011 US Open champion Rory McIlroy.

Directly after successfully defending his title at the RBC Canadian Open, the Northern Irishman shot nearly clean en route to a first round without bogeying…over 17 holes. One punch behind McIlroy is a trio of former USGA champions like Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose and Matt Fitzpatrick, all of whom signed for 2-under-68s during the breezy afternoon wave.

Despite having a number of big names within two of Hadwin, his biggest concern may be for those currently sitting at 1 under. Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris and Max Homa all put themselves in the red with their performances on Thursday. With 54 holes yet to be unfolded, these titans of the game are sure to make their claim at this championship.
