This strike was carried out as part of an investigation involving multiple agencies – federal, state and local police, according to Fox News. The investigation targeted the Colon-Colon Drug Trafficking Organization and the Romero Central Florida Drug Trafficking Organization, two drug trafficking rings in Central Florida.

“We are fighting a battle that we must win. “Fentanyl is killing thousands of people across the country,” Polks County Sheriff Grady Judd said during a news conference Tuesday.

In total, 14 kilograms of cocaine, 3.5 kilograms of fentanyl and fentanyl pills, four firearms, a vehicle and $12,985 were seized, the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Of the ten men and one woman arrested, several are known to the police.

“These drug traffickers destroy lives, families and communities. These drugs are associated with violence and misery in our communities,” added Sheriff Judd.
