Washington, Nov. 7 (Prensa Latina) American voters want President Joe Biden to change the way he runs the country, according to the latest polls circulating 24 hours before the midterm elections today.
Almost more than 85 percent of registered voters polled for the NBC News poll said they wanted “big change” (47 percent), “quite a lot of change” (19 percent), or “some change” (21 percent) . the Biden administration for the remainder of the term.
The poll comes in the final stages of an election in which Republicans are expected to gain control of the House of Representatives and draw level with Democrats in the Senate race.
Polling shows the economy and crime are the biggest concerns on Election Day, even as Democrats try to focus on abortion rights and threats to democracy.
About 44 percent of voters approve of the way Biden is doing his job, according to the NBC News poll, up from 40 percent last week.
But there are more who think the country is on the wrong track (72 percent), according to the score.
About 48 percent of Americans want a Democratic-controlled Congress and 47 percent want one in which Republicans carry the gavel. This shows that the criteria are almost equally distributed in relation to one side or the other.
The midterm elections on November 8 will define power in Congress for the immediate future and determine Biden’s ability to govern through 2024.
Congress, controlled by the Blues in both chambers, albeit with narrow majorities, could change color after the election.
The House of Representatives (with 435 seats at stake) is in danger of slipping into Republican hands, and the Senate (with 35 of its 100 seats at stake) is a battleground with cautious forecasts.
In addition to the legislature, 36 state governors are in the running, as well as other offices at state and local level.
